One of my biggest points of pride this year will be this project! For the last 9 weeks I have been the facilitator and coach for the Women on The Rise Business Incubator at Nuestra Casa. Last night we graduated 17 Latinas with AMAZING business. I loved supporting this group. At the event they each did a pitch about their business. They were all nervous… and they all out did themselves. My job was to teach them some of the fundamentals of running a business: ?? Marketing strategies ?? Knowing your ideal client ?? Mindset blocks and takings risks ?? Financials and budgeting There business are so diverse and focused on supporting their community, we’ve got: ?? Peruvian Candy ?? Hair Cuts and Styling ?? Skin Care ?? Holistic Therapy ?? Custom T-Shirts ?? Latinx Coffee Shop ?? Dulces Enchilados ?? Low Sugar Desserts ?? Cleaning Services ?? Marketing for Small Businesses ?? Zumba ?? Apartment Rentals ?? Child Care Center ?? Clothing Stores! It's been such fun and a privilege to be a part of building their business. They did such a great job with their pitches that many of them got new clients last night. A core memory from this experience will be witnessing these women take a risk, watch themselves excel at it and see how proud they are of what they are building. They own their leadership! May this remind you to take that risk. It will be scary, build a little safety for yourself, maybe do it in community like these women and then leap! You will witness so much of your greatness.
