The NCD Pulse is now officially released! After many years of research, experimentation and development, our newest distribution tool is now available through selected partners across the globe. The NCD Pulse uses Pulse Vibration to improve vertical and horizontal distribution of coffee, removing air pockets that are not removed with other distribution tools and can be potentially detrimental to espresso extraction. The multiple Pulse Vibration settings allow users to experiment with different levels of vibration, improving the sweetness, expression and overall quality of their coffee. On February 10, 2025, Nucleus Coffee Tools will globally release our newest distribution tool – NCD Pulse – marking a new development in coffee distribution technology. Designed to enhance consistency and simplify workflow, this innovative tool aims to to improve espresso preparation for baristas worldwide, while prioritising efficiency and workflow. Density plays a vital role in #coffee roasting because it directly affects how beans absorb and respond to heat. Denser beans tend to roast more slowly due to their compact structure, while less dense beans roast faster and require a gentler heat application. To make density measurements more accessible, we have included a Density Tube with every LINK roaster. This tool allows users to take consistent, reliable density readings of green coffee, which can be input into the LINK App to generate precise roast profiles tailored to the coffee’s characteristics. In this article, we cover what the Density Tube is, why density measurement is critical to the LINK roaster’s functionality, and how to differentiate between the two types of Density Tubes available.

A new generation of coffee distribution technology, the Nucleus Coffee Distributor (NCD) Pulse combines top-layer distribution with Pulse Vibration to precisely distribute coffee and elevate extraction in the preparation of espresso.
