Nucleate Bay Area team formation event! We received nearly 150 applications, selected 25 innovative technologies, and welcomed over 60 contributors. With incredible support from MBC BioLabs and Zach Collins we hosted a “speed dating” session, giving participants the chance to connect and start building their teams. Next month, they’ll be preparing pitches for the final round, where we’ll select our 2025 finalists. Exciting times ahead!

We just held our kickoff event, where we invited our alumni, leadership team, and all our 2024 applicants to celebrate, connect, and join the Nucleate Bay Area family! Tomorrow, our applicants will receive the final decision about who will advance to the Activator 2024-2025 semifinals. Interested in supporting early-stage life science startups? ?? Nucleate’s Activator program helps academics translate their research into companies advancing human health and sustainability. Professionals with experience in founding, investing, industry, or academic entrepreneurship are invited to contribute as mentors or workshop experts. Ways to get involved: ??MENTORS: Mentors develop a long-term relationship with their teams and support these aspiring entrepreneurs in the strategic development of their life science ventures throughout the Activator program. Time commitment: 30-60 minutes/2 weeks from January-May. ??WORKSHOP EXPERTS: Experts take a leading role in guiding 1-2 teams through specific topics during one of our virtual or in-person workshops in the Spring. Experts step in to provide critical feedback on the topic of their workshop that will shape the trajectory of emerging life science startups. Time commitment: 2 hours during one workshop between February-May.
