NTX CPR is committed to helping you learn one of the most important skills you will ever need to know. While you may go your whole life and never use CPR, we know from first-hand experience that should you ever be in a situation to give someone a 2nd chance at life you will feel the same way too. Emergencies are not planned, training should be the foundation of your safety program so that you can be prepared for an emergency situation should it arise. NTX CPR is your one-stop solution for comprehensive safety training that fits your training needs and your schedule. Learning CPR is simple, convenient and inexpensive. NTX CPR recognizes the busy schedules we all have. Your time is valuable and not always flexible. NTX CPR’s flexibility allows us to work around your schedule. NTX CPR also offers you the convenience of coming to your office, church, school or home to teach the course(s). For your convenience, certification can be completed with short notice. Call or register online today. NTX CPR’s courses can provide you with life-saving skills including but not limited to CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, first aid and how to use an AED. These skills can help you, your friends and loved ones if you find yourself or others in an emergency situation. Studies show that effective CPR right away improves survival from cardiac arrest. NTX CPR’s courses are taught in accordance with the American Heart Association. They follow the AHA’s Chain of Survival for all courses.

    Best pic the day. ?? K‘s ponytail was flying with her excellent form! We had a sad moment in the day’s training and my heart is still heavy for one of our participants. She performed CPR on a loved one who did not end up reviving. ??. We try hard to remind every client, “sometimes CPR is for you, the rescuer, to know you did everything you could to try to help give someone a 2nd chance at life. But ultimately, the fate of the person’s life is NOT in your control.” This doesn’t remove the sting of loss, we know. Our HOPE is it helps protect against carrying shame or guilt, though. If you have any lingering feelings about performing CPR, regardless the outcome, please reach out to us. We have resources available to help you release the negative feelings. At NTX CPR, we consistently pray for our clients, “God, …if they are called to perform CPR be with them and guide them. Give them endurance and confidence to work diligently to pump the blood.     A client shared her experience in rescuing a 7 year old boy from drowning in our training this morning. She and friends were enjoying a Dallas resort when a frantic man, carrying a lifeless boy, ran past her asking for help. Immediately, she lunged from the pool and began CPR. She was able to revive him in less than 1 minute! An excellent reminder to always be prepared.

    Move your body!! It is great for your HEART ?? HEALTH as well as your mental health! Walking ??♀? is a great place to start but you have to add in some resistance weight training. Starting small is better than not starting at all! Grab a friend or two and make your exercise fun and challenge each other.

    An 80 year old man who lifts is as strong as a 30 year old man who doesn't. After the age of 30 muscle mass decreases by approximately 3-8% every decade. This rate of decline becomes even faster after the age of 60 [1,2] This reminds me of my dad who decided to start lifting & running at 40 years old. Now at the ripe age of 77 his brain and body is as active as ever. He doesn't need any form of assistance, he's living independently and doing it on his terms. A couple sessions a week of weight training is the ultimate form of delayed gratification. You're trading 90 minutes a week for a lifetime of mobility, strength and brain health. Are you willing to do that? I'd make that trade in a heartbeat. I know some people in their old age who look back and regret not taking better care of themselves. They got to a point where there was no return. You don't want to let that happen to you. Take care of your body when you have a chance because you never want to look back and wonder "what if?"
