For more than a decade, the North Texas Angel Network (NTAN) has connected early stage companies with angel investors to help private investors make private deals with private companies. Over its 10-year history, NTAN members have invested in excess of $10 million into startup organizations. Notable investments, totaling more than $1 million each from NTAN members, include Ikonopedia, Natural Dental Implants, Tella Firma, and Vital Arts & Science. In 2018, angel investments were made into Natural Dental Implants, Haxiot, Stocked Robotics, teleCalm, and TeVido, among others. Annually the organization reviews several hundred business plans and presents approximately 50 investment opportunities for hands-on analysis, due diligence and investment consideration to its membership of more than 60 individual, accredited investors. The non-profit, member-led organization reviews investment opportunities across industries, including medical device and service companies, software and hardware technology, and construction innovation, among others. One of the oldest and largest networks in Texas, NTAN is a member of the Angel Capital Association and the Alliance of Texas Angel Networks. Last week, we had a great evening at NTAN's February pitch event hosted for the first time by O'Melveny & Myers LLP?in their new HQ location in downtown Dallas. Ashley Thurman, Counselor at O'Melveny, started the evening with an introduction of O'Melveny- an international firm with 18 global offices and over 800 lawyers on staff. NTAN then had 4 startups pitch- bringing us new technology to consider: Mobile Infusion tech, Immersive Therapeutics(VR) for seniors, AI-enabled IOT, and Wealth tech for GenZers. We can't wait for our next pitch event on April 24th to collaborate with more entrepreneurs and investors!

NTAN started the year off with a full house event hosted by Mike Wilkes of McKinney EDC. Thank you to Mike and McKinney EDC for the hospitality and providing such a great location for our event.
