???? An incredible weekend at the NSU Start Up Weekend! ???? A huge congratulations to the NSU student innovators on TEAM WAVE who competed and won 1st Place against other NSU students and peers at the NSU start up weekend!! Over the course of the weekend, we held an event in partnership with NASA Langley were we presented a space for research and exploration using NASA patents and saw first hand your commitment to turning visions into reality. Students formed into teams, chose their business model, strategized, and competed to transform an idea into a business plan. A special thanks to our partners, mentors, judges and faculty: Katrina Young and NASA Langley for sharing the access to patents and supporting Norfolk State's students in their efforts of transforming ideas into commercialization. To our guest mentors Emanuel Perez, Howard Hesson, Karen Burrows and Bretton Key, and Larry Whitaker for their unwavering leadership, presentations, encouragement and guidance to the students. To the faculty and staff of Norfolk State University and The School of Business and the Engineering Department, your help and guidance was crucial in the planning and leading of the students.
