The Surface Preparation & Coatings Panel will be having our fall meeting on September 10-11 in Bozeman, MT with a tour of GMA’s garnet mine in Alder, MT. Access to the mine tour is space limited, and access will be granted upon review due to GMA competition sensitivity.? ? The tour will last 2-3 hours with a mile of walking and several stairs, so take this into consideration if you have health concerns.?Tour attendees will need to bring their own PPE (hard hat, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, long pants and sleeves).?There will be no food provided on the day of the tour, and time for lunch may be later than usual, so plan accordingly if you have blood sugar considerations. ? The meeting agenda has availability for a few presentations from industry.?We are looking for topics related to surface preparation, raw materials, and supply chain, but would consider other interesting subjects.?If you have interest in giving a presentation, feel free to send an email to the SPC Panel Chair, Conlan Hsu, [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you all in Montana or virtually!
