This week we are excited to welcome Anthony Smith, Sales and Business Development Manager – Americas and Alonso Palomares, Sales and Business Development Manager - Latin America, both with Fishbones AS. Our guest speakers will be sharing a presentation titled: Fishbones: Technology Overview and Field Case Studies. Fishbones, a Norwegian technology company, has developed an oil, gas, and geothermal well stimulation technology that offers an alternative solution to traditional stimulation methods such as fracturing. Fishbones stimulation systems are open hole liner completions, which are run on a normal reservoir liner string, connecting the well and the reservoir in a single, simple, and efficient operation. The unique small diameter laterals jet or drill out from the wellbore, penetrating the reservoir exactly where needed. These systems are significantly less costly than fracturing, as they require no proppants and no pump trucks. Fishbones has performed 49 installations to date, with the longest wellbore lateral measuring 8,825 ft and as many as 61 Fishbones subs spaced along the reservoir liner string, delivering a total of 183 laterals. The deepest wellbore achieved was 18,133 ft TVD. Production rates have seen increases of as much as tenfold, with PI increases of up to 30 times.
