The NSCS BQC students got an up-close and personal look at life on a Navy vessel during a recent visit to the USS Fort Lauderdale LPD 28. From exploring the ship's spaces to gaining firsthand insights into supply operations, it was an unforgettable experience! For many, it was their first time onboard a U.S. Navy ship! A big thank you to USS Fort Lauderdale Supply Officer LT Paul B. Grissom and Assistant Supply Officer ENS Jayson Grey for making it all happen. Your support ensured the students got the ultimate shipboard introduction. Experiences like this bring the classroom to life and prepare our future Supply Corps officers for what’s ahead! #whatrightlookslike #readyforsea #introduction #GalleyLove

Today, the Navy Supply Corps School proudly observed Native American Heritage Month with a special event hosted by our Heritage Committee. The presentation highlighted the rich history, enduring resilience and significant contributions of Native Americans to our nation and military. From the pivotal role of the Navajo Code Talkers in securing victory during WWII to the remarkable statistic that Native Americans serve in the military at the highest per capita rate of any ethnicity (1.7%), their legacy of service runs deep. To date, 27 Native Americans have been awarded the Medal of Honor for extraordinary acts of valor. ENS Ross Bolin, a proud member of The Chickasaw Nation and a student here at the schoolhouse, shared a summary of his tribe’s heritage and history, which added a personal and inspiring touch to the event. We honor and thank Native Americans for their invaluable contributions to our Navy, military and nation. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #USNavy #LeadershipThroughHeritage #whatrightlookslike
