Technological advancements often confront significant ethical and legal concerns by patients and clinicians alike - due, often, to lack of supporting data, patient/provider education, or use case. AI and like-emerging technologies have revolutionized healthcare - impacting fields like imaging, records, lab diagnosis, treatment, physician support, data analysis, efficiency, and preventive and precision medicine. The data suggests that the younger population of today’s Military are more apt to engage with clinicians and therapists via mobile devices and mobile platforms than they would in a face-to-face or clinical setting. This data emphasizes the importance of identifying those in need of care and affording them with appropriate resources when they need them most. Q1 of 2024 saw 24 suicide-related deaths from National Guardsmen within the United States of America according to the 2024 Quarterly Suicide Report published by The Department of Defense. To tackle the challenges and risks associated with suicide-related deaths of Servicemen and Women, the National Guard Bureau has taken integrative and comprehensive steps - one of which being North South Consulting Group’s exciting work with Videra Health. In August, NSCG’s Chief Experience Officer Chase Stevens and Videra Health’s Michael Grimes spoke at the Kentucky State Capitol’s Interim Joint Committee on VMAP to address these exact issues and steps that we are taking toward a unified solution.
