The UK is a magnet for AI companies and attracts investment from across the world. At the NVIDIA GTC conference this week in San Jose, Technology Secretary Peter Kyle spoke about how our new AI Growth Zones will accelerate international investment through improved regulation and dedicated infrastructure, helping to grow our $92 billion AI sector. While in the US, he met with quantum focused Rigetti Computing and tech companies OpenAI, Anthropic, and Vantage Data Centers to further position the UK as a global hub for AI investment, with the latter recently investing ￡12 billion into UK data infrastructure which will create 11,500 jobs.
