关于我们
NSBE’s mission is "to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community." The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit association that is owned and managed by its members. The organization is dedicated to the academic and professional success of African-American engineering students and professionals. NSBE offers its members leadership training, professional development, mentoring opportunities, career placement services and more. NSBE is comprised of 242 collegiate, 70 professional and 82 pre-college active chapters nationwide and overseas. These chapters are geographically divided into six regions. NSBE is governed by an executive board of college students and engineering professionals and is operated by a professional staff in our World Headquarters located in Alexandria, VA. NSBE has accomplished more for Black engineering students than any other organization in the world. The same light that flows from the NSBE torch to students and professionals in the United States is also relevant for NSBE students in Africa, Europe, South America, Asia, Canada, Australia and the Caribbean. It is the goal of the Society to replicate its mission and vision in countries around the world, creating a global network of Black engineers, scientists and technologists.

The Inspire STEM Gala is probably the best night of the year. ?? You can feel it from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. ?? There's elegance. There's excellence. There's a vibe. (And that vibe was already there well before the after party started with a host of 90s R&B!) ?? Words don't do the occasion justice, but I'll do my best. ?? With scholarships given out to high school and college students pursuing the STEM fields, you get so much hope for the future. I was fortunate to meet a number of the recipients, including before the program began. ?? It's a wonderful group of young people full of gratitude, talent and the desire to make the world better. ?? The night featured so many great stories with the scholarship recipients and the honorees who have made a career out of making a difference. There were connections made of all kinds, from meeting new people to meeting some whose paths I had crossed but had not met in person. So many others were connecting as the night went on, an incredible scene. ?? I have immense gratitude for the work NSBE Boston Professionals - National Society of Black Engineers puts into making this incredible night happen. Saying it's a first-class event feels like a major understatement. The Inspire STEM Gala is a wonderful occasion all its own. ?? At a time when it's easy to be filled with negativity, it stands out as having everything positive you could want for an evening.
