To increase the number of Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and impact the community.

NSBE San Diego State University is committed to perpetuating the mission statement. At SDSU we go to great strides to encourage all of our members to achieve academic excellence. We also create recreational activities such as fundraising, bonfires, gatherings and alike to help build family and camaraderie between the members. We also give back to our community by tutoring K-12 students at local churches and schools. While we may be the NSBE SDSU chapter, that does not mean we operate solely within SDSU. We bond with other local NSBE chapters at colleges such as UCSD and USD because we are One NSBE. By working with our fellow chapters and our NSBE alumni members (NSBE San Diego Professionals) we create a strong family here in the NSBE organization.

This past weekend was nothing short of inspiring and impactful. We had the honor of attending the NSBE Fall Regional Conference and hosting HP Inc. for a powerful event at San Diego State University. The conference was filled with meaningful sessions that challenged us to grow both personally and professionally. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the STEM field and beyond. We are especially grateful to HP Inc. for partnering with us to create a space that fostered learning, collaboration, and empowerment. Events like these remind us of the importance of community, leadership, and continuous growth. Here’s to building on this momentum and continuing to create opportunities that uplift and inspire. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for STEM and beyond.
