As we step into 2025, I’m taking a moment to reflect on the incredible journey of my first semester at Case Western Reserve University.?
This time last year, I was filled with anticipation and questions about what college life would bring. Now, just one semester in, I can confidently say it has been an eye-opening, challenging, and rewarding experience.?
? Highlights from my first semester:?
I was,
- Selected as the Freshman Representative of the CWRU National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Chapter.??
- Selected as the Freshman Representative of the Nigerian Students’ Association at Case Western Reserve University.??
- Elected Secretary of the Unconventional Art Collective at Case Western Reserve University.??
- Accepted into the Emerging Leaders’ Program and graduated as an Emerging Leaders Program Scholar.??
- Chosen as one of 35 CWRU students to attend the Propel Ohio 2024 Collegiate Leadership Summit as a Collegiate Leader.??
- Accepted as a 2024-2025 Civic Engagement Scholar of Case Western Reserve University on the 25-hour track.??
- Attended the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Region 4 Regional Conference in Wisconsin.??
- Volunteered with Project Sunshine and Crayons to Classrooms, to help children cope with hospital stays and encourage creativity.
- Became a member of ColorStack, a supportive community for Black and Latinx computer- related students.??
- Developed MATLAB coding skills in the ENGR 130 (Foundations of Engineering) course of Case Western Reserve University.??
- Accepted into the Goldman Sachs 2025 Possibilities Summit Program, specifically the Engineering Possibilities Summit.?

I’m excited to continue building on these experiences by developing technical skills, exploring leadership opportunities, and giving back to the community. My aim is to embrace every opportunity to grow academically, professionally, and personally.?
