We are honored to share that NRPA President and CEO Kristine Stratton was presented a Citation Award from the National Recreation and Park Ethnic Minority Society (NRPEMS) while we gathered in Atlanta for #NRPAConference2024. “Since joining the NRPA team, Kristine has gone above and beyond to ensure that NRPEMS is not only included but is also a valued voice in every aspect of NRPA’s work,” said Christopher Bass, MPA, CPRP, president of NRPEMS and parks and recreation director for Douglasville, Georgia. “Under her leadership, we’ve seen the addition of dedicated seats for NRPEMS members on key NRPA boards and committees, providing us with opportunities to contribute to important conversations that shape our profession.
