A few thoughts about our podcast, NRG Insights. ?? We’ll never have the biggest show in the world. But that’s never been the goal for NRG Insights. We’re a specialist podcast about mortgages and lending, so competing with mainstream numbers isn't in our minds. But the podcast has been so important to me this year in a few different ways. Here are a couple that come to mind... ?? Meeting industry leaders 2024 has been a tough year for brokers and lenders, but through the podcast, I’ve been able to speak with people who are solving problems, finding new markets, and growing regardless of the challenges. One thing that stands out from speaking to these leaders... They aren't waiting for the perfect moment.?? They push through and figure it out whatever they're faced with.?? Spending time with people like this has encouraged me, NRG and those that listen (according to feedback) to do the same. ?? Giving back The podcast isn’t just for me to learn. Just under 4 months in at NRG Resourcing ?? I could list an endless amount of things I’ve learnt in my time here so far but my key takeaway from Marcus Nanson CeMAP has to be I have had being negative, playing devils advocate, being in the wrong.. almost physically ingrained into me?! A touch on the personal side but coming into a recruitment business & industry with such open arms has been wonderful. No one is hiding how tough every market has been this year, but wow what a difference it makes to that struggle to have people around you who genuinely support you & celebrate your wins.. when I am sitting there picking apart every detail of what I could do differently.. is incredible!
