NREL and CCIA need your input - take the Colorado Cleantech Ecosystem Survey! Colorado's cleantech sector is booming, and to support its growth, the?National Renewable Energy Laboratory?and the Colorado Cleantech Industries Association are surveying to gauge its strengths and challenges. Responses are confidential and will guide future support programs. All participants responding to the survey before the May 5 due date will be entered in a drawing to win an iPad (one prize). The survey closes on May 5.

Battery energy storage plays a critical role in enabling the clean energy transition by addressing the intermittency of renewable sources, enhancing grid stability, and facilitating the efficient integration of decentralized energy resources. It allows for the storage of excess energy generated during peak times, providing a reliable source of electricity during periods of low renewable energy production. This capability supports the broader adoption of renewable energy, supporting energy security and promoting a more sustainable and resilient energy system. Additionally, battery storage enables peak shaving, demand response, and the decoupling of energy generation and consumption, contributing to emissions reduction, climate change mitigation, and the overall transition toward a cleaner and more efficient energy landscape.
