关于我们
The National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA) is a national multiethnic, multiracial partnership network of 60 of the country’s leading immigrant and refugee rights organizations who together advocate for policies and programs to successfully integrate New Americans as full contributors to our nation, able to build lives of dignity for themselves and their families. NPNA exists to: 1) strengthen immigrant and refugee voices in our nation by building the policy and program capacities of our member organizations; and, 2) pursue policy campaigns with our members at the local, state, and federal level; and, 3) deepen our strategic partnership to advance immigrant and refugee inclusion and equity in the United States. Our members organize their constituencies and advocate for better policies for the communities they represent. Our members also provide direct services, including immigration legal services, deportation defense, adult education, voter registration, financial literacy, workforce development, health care enrollment, and English classes. NPNA exists to leverage our members’ collective power and expertise to build a better nation for all.

The climate and immigrant rights movements must unite to challenge fear-mongering, mass deportations, and fossil fuel-driven destruction. Our survival depends on solidarity. Let’s work together for a future where everyone can thrive. ?? Read the full op-ed: Immigration Justice Must Be a Climate Fight, Too by Jeff Ordower & Ahmed Gaya: https://lnkd.in/gxtrCwmp

"Universal representation is not just about legal defense; it’s about fairness, equity, and human dignity," writes Elouise Z. Sirleaf in her latest op-ed. "By ensuring immigrants have a fair chance to navigate a complex and intimidating system, Michigan can join other states leading with compassion and justice. When families are separated due to deportation, the effects are devastating—not just for individuals, but for children, spouses, and entire communities." Ahmed Gaya, Director of the Climate Justice Collaborative at the National Partnership for New Americans, shines a light on a critical intersection: the fight for climate justice and immigrant rights. As the climate crisis intensifies, anti-immigrant policies attempt to distract from real solutions by blaming vulnerable communities. Gaya highlights the urgent need to resist these xenophobic attacks while building a future that values resilience, protection, and safe pathways to refuge for those most affected. It’s time to stand united for both the planet and the people who call it home. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gVC3uRBC
