It has been great catching up with industry friends and colleagues this week at #2024PelotonPlatforum. Two key takeaways: 1. I’ve had the privilege of building incredible connections over the last two decades in this industry, and I’m continually amazed by the people in oil and gas. There’s a unique strength here. People who are resilient, gritty, and unafraid to tackle the toughest challenges, but who also show incredible kindness and support for one another. It’s a rare combination, and I an grateful to be part of such a community. ?? 2. In the midst of life’s complexities and distractions (it can be noisy), long-term success often comes down to mastering the fundamentals. The same holds true for data, which has been interwoven into almost every presentation and discussion this week. By maintaining a gazelle like focus on the basics, such as data quality, solid standards, and disciplined practices — you set the foundation for consistently achieving high-quality business results. Mid September marked a busy week for your #Novus Team. Kicking off the show yesterday, Novus' own Kate (McCutcheon) Stevenson joined industry experts Joe Davis, Heath Satterfield, and Brandon Brown on a powerhouse panel to discuss "Crafting a Vision for Transformation and the Essential Steps Forward". With insightful moderation from Jim Claunch, this session delivered rich, actionable advice on how data is woven into the very fabric of a company's success.
