The New York Times piece by Joe Fassler highlights the struggle of the cultivated meat industry, particularly its failure to achieve affordability in growing animal cells outside of animals. In contrast, microbial cells have evolved to thrive efficiently in contexts more similar to industrial settings. Building on this foundation, companies like mine have harnessed fermentation to produce proteins sustainably and scalably. See also Nature's Fynd, The EVERY Company, and MycoTechnology, Inc. At my company, we produce proteins using healthy microbes grown on clean carbon dioxide emissions. We're a climate tech firm with remarkable alt protein technologies. The future of meat substitutes is microbes that can decouple nutrition from agriculture and fossil fuels. Compared to cultivated meat and most other approaches, our tech can introduce a significant stream of alt protein ingredients sooner, cheaper, more sustainably, and with higher nutritional value – through our unique biomass and precision fermentations. Our volumetric productivity of kilograms per cubic meter per hour is fast. And our inputs do not include expensive and resource intensive sugar, amino acids, or vitamins. As the overhyped cultivated meat industry dims and resets, NovoNutrients' technology is ready for scaling to feed the world sustainably.

NovoNutrients played a vital role at the recent PTT Global Chemical (GC) Sustainable Living Symposium 2023, highlighting our close relationship with GC. Our exhibition area generated excitement as we showcased our transformative carbon capture and utilization?technology, which converts CO2 emissions into sustainable protein ingredients, Novotein?. The interest we received at the symposium reflects the growing recognition of the importance of profitable and scalable?#CCU. With over 3,000 attendees, the event brought together global experts from governmental bodies, private enterprises, SMEs, and diverse organizations. Focusing on tangible sustainable action for business growth, the event was organized by GC, a subsidiary of PTT Group, Thailand's state-owned oil and gas company, and a major company in Southeast Asia in its own right, with a presence in over 50 countries.
