A view of of where the magic happens inside our Hoogland Dairy anaerobic digester. The bubbles you see are biogas coming from manure being digested at 101 degrees Fahrenheit. The biogas is processed into pipeline quality natural gas and injected into the City of Sioux Center, IA’s natural gas system. The West Branch RNG project will produce the equivalent energy of over 2,000 households of annual demand and have the greenhouse gas reduction of over 7,000 cars taken off the road. Today was a big day of firsts for our company. Our West Branch RNG project became the first biogas producer in the United States to be certified under EPA's new BRR. A large amount of forethought, metering coordination, and engineering went into making this happen. Thank you to our employees and Weaver for making this happen. Additionally, today was the first day West Branch RNG injected pipeline quality, negative carbon intensity, renewable natural gas into Sioux Center, IA's pipeline network. This project combines four dairies ( Hoogland, Maassen, Highland, and Bos) with two separated digesters feeding a centralized upgrading plant. A huge shout out to our construction team, operations team, and commissioning team - consisting entirely of Novilla RNG employees. Our team spent months away from their families working out the numerous issues necessary to inject pipeline quality gas. West Branch RNG represents our third project to reach operations, with our Buckhorn RNG project in Unity, WI right on its tail. Our two operating projects, Three Petals RNG and Red Leaf RNG achieved a 98% on-stream rate in July. We aren't stopping there. In September we will announce the start of construction on three additional projects in Vermont and South Dakota, with more to follow. #Novillarng #rng #biogas #renewableenergy #dairy

Our CO-CEO, Jared C. Williams, got to present our Three Petals RNG project to the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin as part of their tour of Trillium Hill Farms. This project has been in operation for nearly year and has achieved annualized injection rates better than 25 MMBtu/milking Holstein (rule of thumb is about 20 MMBtu/milking Holstein). Three Petal's operational success has been driven through on-stream rates in the upper 90%'s on our Unconventional Gas Solutions upgrading system, plenty of retention time and stirring in our Schumann Tanks GmbH digester, the ability of our natural gas injection partner Alliant Energy to accept our gas at outstanding on-stream rates, a great dairy partner, and a great operations team.
