    The world of market research is changing quickly. Here are the results of the industry report we just completed leveraging the technology of Reveal.ai for chat-based data collection and #AI analysis.

    AI-infused market researcher

    I recently partnered with Professor Stephen Kraus of the University of San Francisco and Bob Dimicco of Reveal.ai to explore the role of artificial intelligence (#AI) in market research. We used chatbot technology to conduct 44 qualitative interviews with market research professionals - most were industry decision-makers with more than 15 years of experience.? Here’s the topline of what we learned which seems to be generally consistent with similar findings reported by others... 1.) The majority of our peers are excited about AI.? They express enthusiasm and optimism about the potential of AI to transform the industry. AI is seen as a tool that can enhance efficiency, speed, and save costs. They believe it may foster new research applications and aid, not replace, researchers. 2.) Adoption of AI tools is expected to grow; particularly for doing analysis, but there is also potential for using chatbots to improve data collection. 3.) A few respondents express concerns and skepticism about AI, such as the quality and privacy of the data, the minimization of the human role, and the potential for misinterpretation of results. Most, however, say they will give it a try as they get more comfortable with the technology. A copy of the report is attached.
