Excited to share news of the strategic partnership between Novanta Inc. and Identiv, a global leader in RFID-enabled Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. The partnership aims to streamline the adoption of intelligent, RFID-enabled solutions for medical device OEMs by combining Identiv’s advanced RFID inlays, tags, and labels with Novanta’s industry-leading ThingMagic reader modules and APIs. “Partnering with Identiv advances our mission to deliver innovative, application-specific solutions to our customers,” said Lina Li, President of Precision Medicine at Novanta. “This collaboration will enable us to enhance connected care by incorporating additional patient data, such as wetness, to improve linen-related workflows, and medication supply chain through real-time temperature monitoring and medication compliance. It’s been a while since I’ve shared an update, but I’m thrilled to spotlight something truly meaningful. I’ve been working tirelessly to formulate and launch Novanta Inc. ‘s Black Employee Network—a community dedicated to inspiring Black brilliance, fostering cultural connection, and driving meaningful change. More than a network, we are a force for empowerment, education, and collective progress, built on the belief that when we uplift one another, we all rise. And what better time to launch than during one of the most significant months of the year? As Global Community Chair, I am committed to creating spaces that celebrate heritage and amplify voices. This weekend, I had the privilege of collaborating with our Irvine site’s Women’s ERG, who graciously welcomed me to join their visit to #SanDiego’s Balboa Park Cultural Partnership —an iconic cultural landmark preserving African and Indigenous heritage through music, art, and education. We had the honor of a drum healing session led by the incredible Makeda Dread Cheatom, founder and executive director of the #WorldBeatCenter. She shared her inspiring journey of resilience, unity, and cultural awareness, reminding us of the power of history in shaping our future. Her passion made the drumming session an unforgettable experience. A personal highlight? Having my little ones join me—my youngest even led the group’s drum session (get this - first timer and such an impromptu session!), a beautiful reflection of leadership and cultural legacy across generations. At Novanta, we’re not just building a network—we’re cultivating a thriving community. Together, we rise. Together, we create space for Black excellence to flourish.
