Every month, more than 150,000 people receive support at our 50 Points of Invincibility—resilience centers located at train stations across Ukraine. As of February 2025, we’ve helped over 3.6 million people. These centers serve as reliable hubs of support for Ukrainians—whether living in cities without electricity, water, or heat; evacuating from dangerous areas; traveling and in need of temporary shelter; or looking for a safe space where children can gather and connect with their community. Operating since 2022, the centers provide electricity, communication services, hot water, and dedicated children’s rooms. They continue to work daily, offering essential services and support. The project is implemented with the support of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) and The Howard G. Buffett Foundation.

As Nova Ukraine celebrates Women's History Month, we want to highlight GoЙra, an outdoor project for children led by Iryna Hyshchuk. Read Iryna's story and find out about GoЙra's unique blend of nature exploration, kinship, and healing. This year, Nova Ukraine supported 402 particularly vulnerable children to find community at GoЙra.

Nova Ukraine keeps working with our partner Patriot on delivering the necessary supplies and services to the medics and hospitals in need, including first-aid training equipment. With our financial support, since the spring of 2022, Patriot delivered thousands of first-aid kits and medical backpacks, tens of thousands of life-saving medical supplies, and tons of aid for rescue teams, medics, and hospitals. Here are some images of Patriot in action. Thank you, Patriot, and all of you who support our medical initiatives in Ukraine. #NovaUkraine #SupportUkraine

Schools, hospitals, high-rises, administrative buildings?— russia targets them all indiscriminately. An air raid attack can come anytime, and the danger can last for hours. Bomb shelters are crucial for protecting Ukrainians and providing comfort during the attacks. That is why Nova Ukraine collaborated with our long-term partner, RATEC, to renovate a large shelter in Mykolaiv. This shelter, accommodating up to 600 people, is located next to several preschools, a lyceum, an academic research center, a hospital, and numerous high-rise residential buildings.? We are dedicated to making Ukrainian cities safer.

At the end of 2024, Nova Ukraine, together with the Ministry of health of Ukraine, launched a project called “Ukraine Without Pain.” Its main goal is to create a networked ecosystem for treating chronic pain in Ukraine by supplying hospitals with the necessary equipment and funding the training of doctors working in those hospitals. The importance of this project cannot be overestimated: People who have lived with chronic pain for months and sometimes years can get rid of it, stop using painkillers, and live a normal life. “If you’ve ever had a toothache for several days that made you ready to climb the wall, imagine that I had something similar, only worse, and for six months,” says Ilya, a defender who survived amputation, rehabilitation, re-amputation, and crazy ranges of pain that did not subside for long even under the strongest painkillers. Recently, Ilya turned to the Feofaniya Clinical Hospital, which is a leading medical institution in Ukraine and one of the two medical facilities where the project “Ukraine Without Pain” is being implemented. The specialists conducted a number of interventions to reduce the pain, which helped. The doctors proposed an experimental technique - an implantation of a programmable spinal cord stimulator. This is a modern method of treating chronic pain when other therapies are not effective. (The procurement and supply of neurostimulants is supported by the state, not by Nova Ukraine.) Even after the test implant, the patient noticed dramatic changes. “Almost immediately after the implantation, the pain disappeared. I went for two weeks - according to the regulations, it’s not allowed anymore - and it was great...” says Ilya. Recently, Ilya received a permanent neurostimulator and shared his impressions: “This stimulator completely eliminated the pain. A nice bonus was that it also removed phantom pain. Now I will recover, and life will begin. Next year, my friend and I will go to the Invictus Games.” Learn more about our projects at novaukraine.org

It’s clear what’s right and what’s true: in the 21st century, sovereign nations must not be invaded, and democratic governments must not be overthrown. Ukraine—a free, democratic nation—must not be bartered, ravaged, controlled, or destroyed. It must not be handed over to russia’s regime. History has shown us why. Stand with Ukraine. Share ??

With our partner BARRIER-FREE FOUNDATION, we continue evacuating those in desperate need refusing to leave behind people who have already endured so much. One of the most touching stories is the evacuation of two elderly women, Vira Fedorivna (born in 1938) and Maria Davydivna (born in 1933). They lived through the horrors of World War II, experiencing loss, fear, and devastation. They believed that nightmare was in the past, but now, war has caught up with them again. Living in the village of Ulianovo, Sumy region, their town was constantly under attack. Due to their age and lack of resources, they couldn’t leave. Maria’s home was destroyed by explosions, and she was miraculously rescued from the rubble. Her sister Vira stayed by her side, offering support through the darkest days. We couldn’t abandon them. Thanks to the coordinated evacuation, they are now safe in a nursing home, receiving medical care and kindness. While the painful memories remain, they now have hope for a peaceful future. #evacuationsupport #neveralone #humanitarianaid

Meet the capnograph, an object slightly larger than a matchbox that saves lives by monitoring patients’ breathing. A capnograph, an X-ray machine, a ventilator, and pulse oximeters are now helping the doctors of the ULF medical service team in stabilization centers. We're deeply grateful to our supporters and our partner 100% Life for helping purchase and deliver the X-ray machine. As a reminder, Nova Ukraine has been working in Ukraine since 2014, supporting various initiatives in the areas of medicine, infrastructure, humanitarian work, refugee work, and advocacy. The assistance has increased since 2022, the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. You can learn more about Nova Ukraine and our initiatives on our website: novaukraine.org.

In February 2025, Nova Ukraine proudly supported the "Resilience" project, launched by the NGO 4.5.0. Kryvyi Rih. This initiative marked a significant turning point for 49 women and girls who participated in self-defense training and psychological support sessions. Through collaboration with professionals, the participants gained essential skills to protect themselves in dangerous situations, while also finding understanding and support within a community of like-minded individuals. ???? The project featured self-defense training, meetings with psychologists, and expert discussions with juvenile police officers and relevant organizations. It also served as a platform for important conversations about social issues like bullying, violence, stress, and trauma. The impact was clear: the girls reported significant improvements in their emotional well-being, grew more confident, and received support to overcome life's challenges. We're grateful to have been a part of this initiative, helping create a space for change. Most importantly, thanks to this project, every participant felt stronger and more prepared for the challenges ahead! ?

As part of Nova Ukraine's ongoing Heart2Heart humanitarian aid and services initiative, we recently supported two impactful efforts in Ukraine. With the help of our partner Patriot, we delivered sterilization boxes to four hospitals in Dnipro. At the same time, adult diapers generously donated by San Francisco Bay Area residents were shipped to those in need across Ukraine. Thank you to everyone who contributed and continues to support Heart2Heart! Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gBAzXbhX.
