Nova Power, in collaboration with The Walsh Group & Archer Western Construction, have been diligently working on the Upgrade and Expansion of The Heritage Hunt Sewage Pumping Station in Gainesville, VA. This transformative project, initiated in 2022, will replace the existing pumping station by constructing a new Wastewater Treatment Facility. The upgraded facility will significantly boost pumping capacity from 3.6 million gallons per day (MGD) to 7.81 MGD, catering to the evolving needs of residential and commercial developments in the Heritage Hunt community and its surroundings. Nova Power is responsible for the installation of all Electrical infrastructure for the Water Treatment Facility, including a new 1600 Amp Service, essential Switchgear, Instrumentation, Controls and VFD’s for Water Treatment operations, and the Security and Access Control Systems for the new building. Norair Engineering recently started-up and put online new electrical distribution equipment as part of an expansive upgrade project for one of our water utility clients in Maryland.?The scope of work included building renovations and re-purposing existing space to provide a new dedicated electrical room; including associated additional cooling and HVAC systems that accompanied the building changes.??? Careful planning was needed to safely move all of the old gear out and all the new gear in while maintaining a functional facility for the Owner and working within the existing space constraints.?
