It was an incredible opportunity to connect with industry leaders and deepen our understanding of the critical water resource challenges in South Florida, such as Miami-Dade County's?efforts to improve Biscayne Bay Water Quality, presented by Pamela Sweeney and Craig Grossenbacher; Broward County's?strategies for Groundwater Resilience, shared by Gregory J. Mount; and Palm Beach County's?initiatives in Lake Worth Lagoon, discussed by Eric Anderson. We also enjoyed the update from Eva B. Velez, P.E. of the US Army Corps of Engineers about the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration and the innovative "Engineering with Nature" approach. The SFWMD presentations on Water Quality Modeling Best Practices by Walter Wilcox, PE, Dr. Naiming Wang and Dr. Yogesh Khare, as well as the application of Delft3D FM for Biscayne Bay Water Quality Modeling by Dr. Matahel Ansar, were also particularly enlightening. We're excited to apply these insights to advance sustainable water management solutions at Nova Consulting.
