Welcome to our new board member, Brian O’Laughlin. Brian is Senior Legal Director at Kohler Co., leading the company’s litigation, government relations and regulatory affairs teams. Brian joined Kohler Co. and relocated to the area in 2019. He has had a wide breadth of experience and expertise gained throughout his career as a corporate attorney, in private practice, and with the government, having previously worked in Milwaukee, Chicago, Charlotte, and abroad on the island of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands! Brian lives in Kohler with his wife Colleen and their three boys. When not watching his kids’ hockey or soccer games, Brian loves traveling, concerts, and playing golf and tennis. Originally from Omaha, Brian attended Marquette University and Creighton University for law school. He is deeply interested in service work focused on education and sustainable living, and serves on other non-profit boards in Sheboygan County with similar missions. Brian is thrilled to join the Nourish Board of Directors and help the organization continue to succeed and further promote good-food education.

We are hiring two Good Food Educators at Nourish. You might be wondering, what is a Good Food Educator? We're here to share! The Nourish Good Food Educator leads lessons, classes, and field trip programs on-site at Nourish and off-site at schools, youth sites, and partner sites. Nourish Educators work directly in our farm-to-school and farm-to-community programs preparing and implementing education and experiences. Nourish programs are offered for all age ranges from as young as 3 years old in our Early Care Education, school age in our Good Food Club, and family programming through adulthood. On-site programs include field trips, cooking classes, garden education, team-building, scout badge opportunities, and wellness experiences. We thank Nourish Farms, Inc. for hosting the impactful "Pizza with a Purpose" event, where community members came together to explore various services related to mental health, behavioral well-being, and addiction. The tireless work of these organizations leaves a positive mark on the lives of thousands annually. 1 in 5 individuals lives with a mental illness, and nearly 21 million Americans grapple with at least one addiction; it remains a shared responsibility for all of us to understand and address existing stigmas, fostering an environment conducive to treatment and recovery for everyone to thrive. Members of our Sheboygan team had a great time at Nourish Farms, Inc.'s Pizza with a Purpose, which brought the community together for an evening of delicious food and the opportunity to learn about local mental health resources. The Rogers Rockstars, a band featuring three members of #TeamRogers, even provided live music!
