"On March 13, speaking to reporters backstage at the 12th Global Baku Forum, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, unexpectedly broke the news that Armenia and Azerbaijan had finally agreed to all 17 points of their framework agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations." https://lnkd.in/gsGmPvnn

Questions of territory will largely be settled on the battlefield, with de facto Ukrainian borders along the conflict’s front line.?This line may move between now and when initial and final ceasefires are concluded, but these changes should be limited if a ceasefire is reached this year. Although Russia has been making slow gains, they have come at very high cost in terms of personnel and military hardware. At points, Russia seemed to be losing as many as 1,500 troops per day. Moscow has been able to reconstitute its military faster than expected, but it still seems unlikely that Russia will achieve a breakthrough in the near or medium term. https://lnkd.in/gwHn5yrW

What a dynamic and inspiring U.S. grand strategy roundtable I had the honor of chairing at the International Studies Association (ISA) Convention 2025 Chicago. Our panelists were friends and mentors who are all great scholars: Michael Desch, Nina Silove, Frank Sobchak, PhD So Jin Lee, Takuya Matsuda, Ph.D., and Dr Hillary Briffa. You know the event is going well when you see Dale Copeland, Joshua Rovner, Richard Maas, and Steven Miller (Harvard) in the audience and when the questions just don’t stop coming #ISA2025
