It’s the little things Do you remember as a child, how it was always the little things that brought the biggest smiles to your face? Somewhere along the way, you learned to want more, to always expect more, without ever asking yourself if having more was actually what you needed to feel fulfilled and successful. Back when I was a clinical psychologist, I used to teach my extremely depressed patients to seek small moments of bliss in their everyday rather than waiting for the big moments of life. I practice this with my executive clients every Friday by asking them to chronicle and share their weekly wins. Initially, it’s difficult for them to notice smaller wins and acknowledge their value. Overtime, however, this is something they both learn to enjoy AND start to practice with their teams. What is one moment of bliss you experienced today?
