With a high volume of mothers inquiring about the Casual Moms Meet-up and filling out the survey, we are so excited and honored to provide this supportive service to our community. Feel free to share this flyer and post with all the mamas! The more, the merrier! We don’t want to compete against other mom groups, there are many amazing ones already going on in the area. However, we want to focus specifically on mother’s mental and emotional health and wellbeing. We plan on discussing diverse topics at each meet-up and periodically invite holistic healthcare professionals and guest speakers to share resources. Mothers and children/youth of all ages are welcomed. Location, day and time still TBD. As a mom, you might put everyone else’s needs first. We prioritize mental health and want to provide a space where moms can feel connected with others who GETS it. Wherever you are on your motherhood journey, you are welcomed! We weren’t meant to do this alone–moms need help, support, and community. This meet-ups offers in person and virtual support to help you connect with other moms while navigating your new role. Find community, feel supported, and know that you are NOT alone. Children are welcome of course! Hosted by our founder and CEO, Tatiana who is a new mom. “WOW, what an adventurous and thrilling journey we had with our skateboarding program. Back in June 2020, NWR launched the Skate Albany Meet-ups and it was a success from day 1 to its last day (kiddos @mariahmiaamore ). We have hosted about3️⃣0️⃣ skate meet-ups in the past 4️⃣ years, served over 2,550 people, given away over 1,550 skateboards, 600 pairs of Vans and more! It was a true honor to provide this program to our community and help increase skateboarders mental, emotional and social health and well-being. With the support of our skate community, we were able to expand the program and build the only indoor skatepark in a 💯 mile radius of Albany. It was a prime time in my life to get the program and indoor skatepark launched and now it’s time to watch the park flourish without us. As NWR’s founder and executive director, I have seen NWR grow so much in the last 4 years because of the skateboarding program so it is bittersweet to see it come to an end. This decision to end the skateboarding program was an emotional and challenging decision that I had to make and I hope that you all understand how important you all are to NWR. Now that I am a mother, I have to prioritize mine and my family’s wellbeing in order to keep supporting our community in the future with NWR. 🚨This DOES NOT have anything to do with the skatepark and NWR isn’t going anywhere as well as our other programs and events are still ongoing! This is just NWR’s skateboarding program that is coming to an end. Thank you to all the families, schools, businesses and organizations for all the support throughout the years. We adore you all and will forever cherish the memories and friendships we made along the way!
