?? "Dave, I don't know what's going on!" Those were the exact words from a group assignor, five days before a major State Cup soccer tournament. With 750 games scheduled across a single weekend, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing when logging into Notch: only 4 unassigned roles remaining ?? He was stunned because, in the past, this would have meant endless last-minute phone calls and texts trying to fill unassigned games! We recently heard David VanWiggeren share this success story at NextUp '24 with LeagueApps, pictured below, while speaking on a panel about managing the end-to-end event lifecycle. Are you looking to spend less than half the time you spend today assigning your games filled with the right officials? The United States Soccer Federation's proposal to revert youth soccer age classification back to the school year system is probably the right thing for the U.S., which combines athletics and education like nowhere else in the world. It's just a shame we have to go through the upheaval of dismantling teams and educating parents again, after doing it 8 years ago. The planned move is expected to be decided at the USSF board meeting on November 22. Are you guys happy about the change? Any ideas on how best to navigate it with coaches and parents?
