This is the lovely, talented Caroline Eriksson, an award-winning gingerbread artist from Oslo! Caroline agreed to fly in from Norway to craft something LIVE for Gingerbread Wonderland’s 10th anniversary. “I can promise the sculpture will be impressive, mystical and maybe even a bit spooky,” she says. Read on to learn more! NH: What are your design plans? Caroline: For Gingerbread Wonderland, I will draw inspiration from Nordic folklore to create a massive life-sized troll, a character deeply rooted in Norwegian culture. NH: How much time it will take? Caroline: A sculpture of this size usually takes two to three weeks to complete, but since I’ll be in Minneapolis for just 10 days, I’m building the base of the sculpture here in Oslo to bring with me. #norwayhousemn #gingerbreadhouse #gingerbreadart #bakerylife #norwayhouse
