Since 1971, Lakes Association of Norway (LAON) has dedicated itself to preserving the health and beauty of Norway’s lakes, protecting the lakes from harmful invasive plants and pollutants, monitoring the overall health of each lake, and raising awareness on how to use the lakes safely and responsibly. It’s Movin’ Up Monday! Today, we honor Fred Barstow on his recent promotion to Personal Banker at NSB’s Bridgton branch! Fred started at the bank in April of 2023 and most recently served as Customer Relations Representative II. He quickly became known for his amazing customer service in helping customers meet their financial needs. The Perry native was drawn to Norway Savings by its reputation as “a pillar of the community.” When he’s not working, Fred utilizes his creativity as a published author of two novels and many short stories. Next week is International Fraud Awareness Week, a global effort to minimize the impact of fraud by promoting anti-fraud awareness and education. It has become a labor of love and a beloved tradition at Great Falls Elementary School in Gorham. A time in which the entire school, over 500 students spanning kindergarten to fifth grade as well as the staff, read the same book or author at the same time to build community and express a collective love for reading.
