A vital resource for thousands of Norwalk residents, young and old, the Norwalk Community Health Center is here for all who need us. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality medical care regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, health status, religion, sexual orientation, education or ability to pay. As Norwalk’s Federally Qualified Health Center, our goal is to help all community residents share good health and quality of life. In a state-of-the-art medical facility on Connecticut Avenue, patients have access to comprehensive adult, pediatric and OB/GYN medical services. Special support services are also available such as mental health and case management services, and programs in health, nutrition, and finance. Our staff is fluent in English, Spanish and Creole. This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n). This health center is an FTCA deemed facility. Earlier today, Don Antonucci, President and Chief Executive Officer of Providence Health Plan, joined key industry leaders at the 12th Annual CEO + CFO Roundtable for a session titled, "Driving Innovation in Healthcare Transformation." The panel explored strategies for healthcare organizations to embrace innovation and lead transformative change in an evolving industry. In addition to Don, the panel included William Morice II, MD, PhD, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mayo Clinic Laboratories/Mayo Collaborative Services, Kenneth Waller, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer, Norwalk Community Health Center, and Brian Peters, Michigan Health & Hospital Association. ? On September 23rd, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy and other CT lawmakers announced the awarding of $4.2 million to seven community health centers in CT.?The funds will enable the centers to increase resources and serve thousands more individuals in their communities, offering lifesaving mental and behavioral health treatment to those who need it most. The seven CT Community health centers are: - Charter Oak Health Center, Inc. in Hartford - CIFC C. in Danbury - Cornell Scott - Hill Health Center in New Haven - Fair Haven Community Health Care in New Haven - Norwalk Community Health Center in Norwalk - United Community Family Services in Norwich - WHEELER FAMILY MEDICAL CLINIC in Plainville ?
