During the summer, a group of Northwestern Computer Science students engaged in hands-on, immersive research, collaborating with graduate students and faculty in various labs. On October 17th, ?five of the summer researchers presented their contributions. Take some time to read about it.

On October 17, during the Northwestern Security and AI Lab's annual “Conference on AI and National Security,” director V.S. Subrahmanian unveiled new reports generated by the Northwestern Terror Early Warning System (NTEWS), a machine-learning platform that models terrorist behavior to forecast the likelihood and types of attacks that specific terrorist groups will carry out within the next six months. Hosted by Northwestern Buffett Institute for Global Affairs, the conference was co-sponsored by University College Cork and the Insight Research Ireland Centre for Data Analytics.
