Ami’s is our current Immediate Past President. Her commitment to our chapter and the members in the last 10 years has been remarkable.
This week, I discovered that I am the 33rd woman to graduate (2009) from the Construction Management program at Boise State since its inception in 1980. I had never really considered this until now; I always assumed there had been more women before me. It was truly inspiring to connect with the younger women in the program and hear the stories of recent graduates. Their experiences fueled my passion for our field and reminded me of the importance of representation. In light of this revelation, I made a promise to myself to continue advocating for both myself and my fellow women colleagues. I feel incredibly fortunate to both mentor and be mentored by such strong women in this industry. Together we rise!
