The University of Washington School of Medicine (UW Medicine) is seeking certified medical #interpreters in WA State with experience working with hearing aid and cochlear implant patients to participate in a #research study. This study includes a 30-60 minute Zoom interview (will be video/audio recorded) to investigate difficulties non-English speaking patients face in receiving hearing aids and cochlear implants. Topics covered include what you have noticed as barriers to obtaining hearing aids or cochlear implants, experiences with interpreting for audiologic testing, and what has helped patients obtain assistive hearing devices.
