We are BIG Elephant and Piggie fans around here! ?????? With the help of some amazing volunteers, NEF distributed copies of "We Are In A Book!" to every Northwest ISD kindergarten student to support early literacy! This year, we also provided a Spanish version of the same book for dual language classrooms at Clara Love Elementary School, Roanoke Elementary School, and Prairie View Elementary. ?? Literacy is so important, and NEF is proud to encourage reading through this initiative. Special thanks to our generous partner, POGUE CONSTRUCTION, for sponsoring our Kinder Club program! ?? Neffie was out at V.R. Eaton High School yesterday for Northwest ISD elementary professional development! We were able to serve 127 teachers distributing more than 4,500 items and 181 books. ???? This week, students at Clara Love Elementary School crossed the finish line on their Speeding to Read competition and we celebrated some amazing readers! New Scholarship Announcement ?? NEF is honored to announce the ???????? ???????????????? ???????????? ??????????????????????, which has been established to honor the remarkable life and contributions of Ms. Shay McDonald. Ms. McDonald played an instrumental role in shaping the educational experience at Kay Granger Elementary since its opening in 2007 and remained a dedicated educator at the school until her passing in 2024. This scholarship ensures that her memory and legacy serve as a reminder of the power of education, the importance of friendship, and the impact we each have in making a difference. ?
