Today, we hosted INvets for a Lunch & Learn with our members. It was inspiring to hear Brian Evans and Dana Lescoe's passion for helping veterans transition into the workforce and community. INvets shares the story of Indiana to veterans nationwide and recruits talent through personal outreach, marketing, and onsite visits. They also collaborate with employers to connect veterans to job opportunities. Learn more about INvets here: https://www.invets.org/ #NWIForum #GoNWI #workforcedevelopment #northwestindiana

Last week, our team member Kay Nelson, along with the Indiana Great Lakes Commissioners, appointed by Governor Eric Holcomb, gathered at the Governor's residence to celebrate eight years of collaboration and commitment to representing Indiana's position on policies and practices to balance the use, development, and conservation of the water resources of the Great Lakes. For the second time in her career, Kay was honored with the Distinguished Hoosier Award for her unwavering dedication to advocating for responsible development and the protection of our Great Lakes. In 2009, Kay was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash for work on the Great Lakes St Lawrence River Basin Compact negotiations and implementation. Additionally, all commissioners received the Distinguished Hoosier Award, and Steve Fisher was presented with the prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash. Congratulations to Kay Nelson and our member Jody Peacock from the Ports of Indiana for their hard work and this well-deserved recognition! #NWIForum #GoNWI #northwestindiana
