Hi friends! Come out this Saturday, November 23rd for a beautification project at Marine Park’s Skatepark! We will be painting the skate ramps and we will host a vendor pop-up market . This activity is best suited for artistically inclined individuals who can manage spray paints (the painting activity is not for children). However, it is a park, so bring the family out, support local businesses and dance to our DJ’ s music. With Danaydae "Dee" Lara Selena Cruz

In preparation of our Day of the Dead event, Vivan los Muertos! we are presenting this FREE workshop for our community. We will create a sculpture out of paper mache, followed by a second day of painting. Please come out and be part of this community-building/keeping activity. Here are some photos of our Hispanic Heritage celebration in the Northside last weekend. Y’all, I want to stress how significant this particular celebration is because it is completely grassroots with no government funding or grants. This is the community coming together, pitching in what they can, and holding space for our local neighbors, businesses, traditions and culture. I never know how or if our community will respond to our calls to action, but if these photos could speak, I think you get the picture! Shout out to Mariachi Real de Alvarez, Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth Inc. Portico Coffee, MD Party Creations, and all the small businesses helping to be a catalyst for more economic activity in this corner of Fort Worth. Northside Community Fort Worth sowing the seeds of social change on a small, yet very real and impactful way. Our fourth coffee meet this weekend included a seed-planting activity. All participants got to take their freshly planted pumpkin and lettuce ?? seeds home. They’ve reported that the seeds are germinating and sprouting! We can’t wait for our next activity of transplanting them to Northside Rooted Urban Farm, less than 2 miles away. Gabriella Gonzalez Selena Cruz Roxanne Quiroz

I am so proud of my friend and Northside Community Fort Worth events manager Gabriella Gonzalez for successfully managing this grassroots event that drew the participation of 55 people! Our communities are hungry for connection and opportunities. Chronically underserved and underinvested communities NEED networking, cultural, and business events. I am excited at the prospect of creating, building, and organizing with fellow neighbors and small businesses to see where this goes! I am very excited to announce the opening of a new restaurant in the Northside of Fort Worth. This corner grocery store has a long-standing history in this community, and we at Northside Community LLC. are woven into that history through the creation of this community mural you see in the photo. After years of battling drugs, crime, and game-rooms, we are so happy to welcome a family restaurant that is already making visible changes to the building. Join us this Tuesday and meet this new small business. Please send a message if you plan on attending as we need a head count for food and refreshments. Thank you!
