Thank you to everyone who attended the fireside chat at Data Centre EXPO with James Rogers Jones from Northshore and Anna Carolina Dowson from GreenScale Data Centres. It was encouraging that there were many questions from the audience that were interested in more than just basic sustainability requirements! James says, "More often than not, environmental issues are also social issues. The CO? emissions from burning fossil fuels directly impact air quality and, therefore, the quality of life for communities located near those plants. Viewing energy or carbon as merely numbers on a spreadsheet overlooks the broader opportunity to engage with communities and ensure that data centers serve as positive assets to local society—enhancing grid resilience, among other benefits. Rather than being seen as just large warehouses, they should contribute meaningful value to the communities they operate in."

?????? We had an amazing afternoon yesterday after we were invited to Kensington Palace to collect our International Green Apple Award from The Green Organisation. This award was for our partnership with our wonderful customer AtlasEdge, where we helped save them 65 tonnes of CO2e over the first few months of 2024. This was all part of a program focused on measurement and reduction of AtlasEdge's energy and carbon usage! Great work to all involved and lovely to receive the award with Susan Ashton & Wendy Porter!
