This one is a hundred times smaller than a sand grain, one-tenth the width of a human hair, and operates 1,000 times faster than processing speed of the microchips in smartphones. A Northrop Grumman study of a lunar rail network offers a comprehensive blueprint for an efficient transportation infrastructure on the moon. ?? The study looked at linking key locations such as scientific outposts, landing sites, and mines where local resources could be harvested for construction rather than launching supplies from Earth. ?? "This is the equivalent of city planning but on the moon. This could shape the future of what the moon looks like.
