We’re excited to announce that Madison Rackear, Ph.D. has joined Northpond Ventures as an Associate! Madison recently completed her Ph.D. in Genetics at Yale University and was a Senior Associate at Orange Grove Bio, where she worked with academic faculty to spin out new companies in the life sciences and biopharmaceutical sectors. Madison also gained early experience at Life Edit Therapeutics, a genetic medicines company developing novel genomic therapy tools. Welcome Madison!

We’re excited to announce that Emily Duff has joined Northpond Ventures as our VP of Communications. Emily brings extensive experience in investor relations, communications, and finance across life sciences venture capital, operating companies, and academia. She’s held key roles at Third Rock Ventures, Stallergenes Greer, Foundation Medicine, and most recently at Nextech Invest, where she led portfolio management. ? In this new role, Emily will lead communications throughout the broader ecosystem, strengthening engagement with our stakeholders and highlighting the collective successes of Northpond’s portfolio companies. ? This breakthrough showcases the potential for enzymatic synthesis to address the needs of the rapidly expanding therapeutic siRNA market. Totus Medicines, a Northpond Ventures portfolio company revolutionizing small molecule drug discovery, has entered into a research collaboration with Eli Lilly and Company to discover small molecule drug candidates across multiple targets. Totus Medicines’ novel platform leverages a DNA-encoded covalent library along with artificial intelligence and machine learning, enabling the company to screen billions of drug candidates against multiple targets simultaneously.
