Johanny Encarnación is a dedicated dental professional originally from Caracas, Venezuela, where she earned her dental degree before advancing her career in the United States. She became a Dental Assistant in 2020 and now works as a Registered Dental Hygienist, combining clinical expertise with a compassionate approach to patient care. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to professional growth and serving diverse communities. Passionate about community service, Johanny serves as the Community Service & Outreach Chair for the Hispanic Dental Association North Florida Chapter, leading initiatives that promote oral health education and expand care to underserved populations. Her dedication to service extends beyond dentistry. She actively collaborates with the Center for Health Improvement at Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital, participates in free dental clinics, food banks, and community events, ensuring essential services reach those in need. Outside of her profession, Johanny enjoys cooking, attending concerts, reading, and traveling. ?? We are proud to announce that Dr. De Leon will now serve as the Vice President of the North Florida Hispanic Dental Association ?? Dr. De Leon is a dedicated dental professional from the Dominican Republic with a deep commitment to patient care and community service. As a foreign-trained dentist, she began her journey in the U.S. as a dental assistant and is now a practicing Dental Hygienist, excelling in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide sedation, and digital scanning and design. Having successfully passed her board exams, she is currently pursuing a university program to convalidate her credentials and continue advancing in her career. Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. De Leon is an active leader in the dental community. Since its founding, she has been a key member of the North Florida Hispanic Dental Association, serving as its Secretary and playing a vital role in its growth and outreach.
