Last week our team in London hosted the 2024 Latin Heritage Leadership Council's Careers Fair. STEM and Business/Accounting students from University of Greenwich were invited into our Canary Wharf office in London to learn more about our organization, the work we do, life at Northern Trust and how we’ll help students and graduates to learn today and lead tomorrow. The event was aimed at students in their second or third year and it was fantastic to see a full house on the day. Students met with professionals from different areas of our business and gained a better understanding of their given roles and how they impact our global organization. They also got to learn from our ‘Effective CV Writing’ and ‘LinkedIn Best Practices’ clinics. Our aim from the day was to: ? Inspire future professionals on the many career paths Northern Trust and the financial services sector has to offer ? This year’s Achieving Greater Together month of service was a huge success! Northern Trust employees volunteered more than 61,000 hours, assisted 1,623 nonprofit organizations across 20 countries. The celebrations coordinated by our employee-led Asian Leadership Business Resource Councils brought color, vibrancy, joy, and togetherness to all who participated. Embodying the spirit of Diwali, teams in Chicago, London, and Limerick were greeted with office spaces transformed by vibrant Diya lights and decorative flowers, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
