Yesterday, with help from Dale Davis, Ian Haidle, and Collin McEndree, we were able to lead 24 Associates through all 7, Level 1 Business Planning Activities. That totals 168 portfolio activities in one day! I'm proud of this group of Associates for showing up and getting things done. They are all one big step closer to being PGA Members! Although I've never pictured myself standing up in front of my colleagues and presenting from 9am to 4pm, I can say it's rewarding to help people on their journey to being a better version of themselves. I look forward to more opportunities to push myself outside my comfort zone. Thank you Firestone Country Club for hosting and the amazing NOPGA Staff for all their support!

The geographical location of the Northern Ohio PGA is bounded on the north by the northern boundary of the State of Ohio; the east by the eastern boundary of the State of Ohio; the south by an imaginary line drawn between the cities of Martins Ferry, Ohio and Union City, Indiana. The Northern Ohio PGA is an association of golf professionals. The mission of the Northern Ohio PGA is to promote interest and enjoyment in the game of golf while enhancing the well being of its members. The Northern Ohio PGA will accomplish this mission by enhancing the skills of its professionals and the opportunities for amateurs, employers, manufacturers, employees, and the general public. In so doing, the Northern Ohio PGA will elevate the standards of the professional golfer’s vocation, enhance the economic well-being of the individual member, stimulate interest in the game of golf, and promote the overall vitality of the game.

From 2014 to 2019, Alfredo C. Hildebrandt wasn't just one of my colleagues at Lakewood Country Club (Westlake, OH); he became like a brother to me. Even way back then, when I was the Lead PGA Assistant Professional and he was the Clubhouse Manager, we dreamed of leading a club together. In 2024, our Club Board made our dream a reality when they gave Alfredo the opportunity to return to our Club as our new GM/COO. This decision, in my opinion, solidified our team with the most dynamic young club management professional in our industry. This past year was a whirlwind for Alfredo and it tested him in ways few of us will ever experience: returning to his former Club as the GM/COO, a newborn, a major course restoration, staffing shifts, and undergoing a profound personal transformation. Yet, he didn’t just survive – he thrived. He prioritized his health, shedding 70 pounds and committing to an Ironman. He capped it off this weekend by crushing his first indoor triathlon. "Restoring the dignity in hard work" – that's his mantra. Witnessing his 6 AM swims and 10 PM bike rides has been inspiring to both our team at the Club and me. Alfredo's determination is a force, a contagious energy that's inspired our team and revitalized our Club. He's not just leading; he's setting our “new” standard. I'm honored to be by his side as we shape the future of one of Cleveland’s most historic private Clubs. Congratulations little brother. #lakewoodpride
