Meet Our Intern, Kayla Murray! We're excited to introduce Kayla, our intern from Alfred University, where she's pursuing her MBA! Kayla works with the Northern Lights Sales Department. Her primary focus has been on improving and optimizing our Amazon content, pulling sales reports, and organizing customer lists. Her favorite part? The hands-on experience that allows her to learn new things and improve her professional skills (made possible by her awesome coworkers who are always willing to lend a hand). Her internship has also helped her gain confidence during her MBA by teaching her about the intersection of operations, product development, shipping, sales, CRM/WOS programs, and (of course) candles! ??? Some interesting facts about Kayla: She loves rollercoasters, scary movies, and has ridden horses for 15+ years. We're excited to introduce Brent Porter, our talented intern from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where he's pursuing his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering. During his time at Northern Lights, Brent dove deep into our manufacturing processes, learned about asset management, and worked with Mark Bowen on implementing new systems. His favorite part? Discovering the variety of candle-making processes and equipment! In his free time, Brent enjoys going to the gym, playing pickleball, video games, and indoor rock climbing. Candlemakers Day 2024 At Northern Lights, we cherish the annual tradition of Candlemakers Day, where we come together to celebrate the art of candle making and reflect on the year's successes. This year was filled with camaraderie and fun! We kicked off the day with a drone photo shoot capturing our team on the green space, followed by a competitive cornhole tournament, and topped it off with delicious bites from the Dog Doctors Food Truck.
