One of the hightlights of our time in North Carolina this week was a celebration reception in North Carolina State University to officially mark one year of NI Chamber's partnership with NC Chamber. Huge thanks to our hosts in the University and our esteemed guests, including Lieutenant Governor Rachel Hunt, North Carolina Secretary of State, Elaine Marshall, NC House Majority Leader, Brendan Jones, Senator Dan Blue and of course, the First Minister and deputy First Minister, as well as many new friends from across the state. Since we signed our MOU last year, NI Chamber's partnership with NC Chamber has attracted significant political interest on both sides of the atlantic. That was bolstered even further when, during a visit to the Executive Mansion in #Raleigh, we joined the First Minister and deputy First Minister, as well as our partners in NC Chamber for sit-down meeting with North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall and Lieutenant Governor Rachel Hunt to discuss the benefits of collaboration and partnership.

North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park is one of the largest and most prominent research and development hubs in the United States. RTP is home to more than 375 companies, employing over 55,000 professionals in fields like artificial intelligence, life sciences, cybersecurity, and data analytics. The park is globally renowned for fostering collaboration between corporations, startups, and research institutions and today, we’ve had privileged access to learn about that work in practice.
