Scott is the Owner and Chief Consultant of Northern Edge Consulting LLC, specializing in Board Development and Operations Training for Non-Profit Organizations. His expertise spans Strategic Planning Facilitation, Staff Development Workshops, Executive Coaching, and Organizational Management. Originally from Traverse City, Michigan, and now residing in Petoskey, Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and over 20 years of experience as a Non-Profit Executive for various membership organizations and professional trade associations. His impressive career includes leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America, the Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Home Builders Association of Northern Michigan. Notably, from 2016 to 2021, Scott served as Executive Director of the Cheboygan Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, where his leadership earned the chamber the title of ��Most Outstanding Chamber in Michigan�� in 2018. Scott holds a Bachelor��s Degree in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University and a Master��s Degree in Management and Leadership from Purdue University Global. As a Certified Association Executive (CAE), he has also completed extensive professional development training, including studies at The Center for Professional Development in Texas, Institute for Organizational Management in Arizona, and Association Leadership Institute in Missouri. A passionate advocate for nonprofit growth and sustainability, Scott is the author of ��The 5 M��s of Non-Profit Administration and Association Management?�� and was profiled in Association Impact Magazine in November 2019 for his remarkable work in revitalizing struggling associations. Scott's experience extends to being a guest lecturer and instructor with the Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals, Michigan Society of Association Executives, North Central Michigan College, and serving as a Faculty Member for the US Chamber of Commerce, Institute for Organization Management. Beyond his professional endeavors, Scott is an active member of the Emmet County Planning Commission and holds memberships with several prestigious organizations. He is also a proud stockholder and part owner of the Green Bay Packers, Inc. Scott resides in Petoskey with his wife, the Hon. Angela J Lasher, and their sports-loving 9-year-old son, Bennett.
