We are delighted to now offer Bowel Cancer Screening at Salford Royal thanks to a collaboration with colleagues at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. This work is part of the Bolton Bowel Cancer Screening Programme which supports patients who receive an abnormal test result across Bolton, Salford and Wigan. We are proud of the work of our colleagues to make this happen and providing this service at Salford Royal to patients for the first time. #NHS #Health

Our NHS Trust provides hospital & community health services across four localities in Salford, Oldham, Bury and Rochdale
关于我们
The Northern Care Alliance is an NHS Foundation Trust (NCA FT) created by bringing together two NHS Trusts, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The NCA FT was formally established on 1 October 2021. The NCA has been working together as a group since 2016. Who are we? Our dedicated team of around 20,000 staff – our NCA Family – provide a range of community and hospital services to over one million people across Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford, as well as providing more specialist care to patients across Greater Manchester and beyond. Patients and service users may receive a range of integrated health and social care services at their home or in their community or be treated and cared for in one of our four hospitals – Salford Royal Hospital, The Royal Oldham Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary or Fairfield General Hospital in Bury. Our aim is to save lives and improve lives. We do this by working with partner organisations in improving the population health of our local communities, and by delivering consistently high standards of care and experience each day, every day.

'Having the flu jab was so quick and easy.' Protection from previous flu and COVID-19 vaccines fade and the viruses change over time. Make sure you’re ready for winter by getting vaccinated, even if you’ve had flu or COVID-19 or have been vaccinated before. #Vaccinations #Flu

We’re pleased to launch our new visitors’ charter today. The charter provides a clear and consistent approach to when visitors can visit ward areas across our hospitals. As part of the charter, we now offer extended visiting hours from 10am to 7.30pm. This comes following feedback from patients and staff groups. Read more on the new charter on our website – see link in the comments. #NHS #Visiting

Colleagues have been raising awareness and understanding of antimicrobial resistance and what we can all do to slow it down across our hospitals this week. Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites no longer respond to antimicrobial agents. As a result of drug resistance, antibiotics become ineffective and infections become difficult or impossible to treat, increasing the risk of disease spread, severe illness and death. #Health #NHS

We’re delighted to be part of the rollout of a new AI-powered chest X-ray in Greater Manchester (GM) which is set to help us detect diseases, like lung cancer more quickly. When the chest X-ray solution identifies potential lung cancer cases, the information is relayed to the reporting medical provider in under a minute. This allows healthcare professionals to prioritise the review of the chest x-rays identified as suspicious, helping to detect (or rule out) cancer more quickly. The tool will enhance efficiency and care quality within lung cancer detection in Greater Manchester. #AI #Health #NHS
